What is StellarSpeller?

StellarSpeller™ is an innovative software system designed to help students win spelling bees at the local, regional and national levels. Created by
Dr. Mary DeForest and Chronos Interactive, StellarSpeller plays over 5700 words taken from the Scripps Spelling Bees for students to hear and spell. Students receive immediate feedback on their spelling of each word, as well as a display of other words which share the same basic building blocks.

Why Try StellarSpeller?

StellarSpeller™ groups words according to their language of origin and offers 115 interactive spelling tests. Tutorials for the tests discuss the rules which govern how the parts of foreign words combine as they flow into the English language, enabling students to recognize patterns and spell even unfamiliar words correctly.
